Since 1958, the ACSO has offered local musicians of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to perform in a full symphony orchestra and to present quality symphonic programs to the Greater Atlanta community. As Atlanta’s oldest community orchestra, our roots run deep within the community. Being an integral part of and uniting the community is one of our core values. That’s why all of our concerts are free, and our performance venues vary throughout metropolitan Atlanta. We actively engage the community with our music through events such as the Ruth Kern Young Artists Concerto Competition and Art in Music program.
