As the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra navigates this unprecedented crisis, we have decided to take an intermission due to the global pandemic of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in support of the proactive approach taken by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Georgia and the City of Atlanta in aggressively addressing the spread of the virus.
The safety of our patrons, musicians and staff is our priority, and as a result, we have decided to postpone the Spring Concert and the Ruth Kern Young Artists Concerto Competition Winners Concert. When we emerge from this challenging period in time, the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra will raise the baton and take the stage again, reaffirming our longstanding commitment to provide local musicians of all ages and backgrounds the distinguished opportunity to perform in a full symphonic orchestra and to present quality symphonic programs to the Greater Atlanta community once again.
To all of our dear friends of music, arts community, musicians, and supporters, please stay safe, wash your hands, and stay home.
