We are looking for individuals interested in becoming part of a growing community of fun, talented, musicians from around metro Atlanta. If you have been looking for a place to find a family of musicians to share your love for music with, have orchestral experience, and are 16+ years of age, you should consider joining us! If you are an instrumentalist not listed as primary need below, you can still apply. We are building our roster of musicians to provide us flexibility in programming. Our musical season typically spans September through May with 5 concerts planned for this season. Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings 7-9:15 pm in northeast Atlanta. While First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta undergoes exciting renovations, our rehearsals will take place at the welcoming St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church. Concerts this season will be presented at various vibrant venues throughout metro Atlanta, allowing us to share our music with even more communities.
General Auditions
The ACSO is comprised of skilled amateur musicians who participate on a volunteer basis, many of whom hold full-time jobs as teachers, researchers, IT specialists, healthcare workers, and other professionals. We come together to share our love of music and create something greater than ourselves, and we are always excited to welcome new members! Whether you’re looking to keep music a part of your life, connect with a vibrant community, or simply enjoy the thrill of performing, ACSO offers a supportive and rewarding environment for musicians of all backgrounds.

- Double Bass
- French Horn
